Social Media/ Technology Trends (LJ4)
In my opinion, chapter 7 in our textbook and this module in general was very insightful for many reasons. For one, there are so many social media/ technological trends that are taking over the world / industry by storm. Trends such as the Metaverse developed by FaceBook, video vitamins, content calenders, artificial intelligence (AI chat bots), robotic process and automation (RPA), 3D printing, block chain, internet of things (IoT), rise of super apps, and 5G.
There are so many social media platforms and trends in modern time. However, I believe there will be a few of the vast amount of platforms that will stand the test of time. I think the Instagram would do well as time goes on due to the fact that you can live stream, keep in touch with friends, family, and colleagues, you can promote your business and or life style, and its just an overall good platform for everyone to use. I also feel like reels aren't going out of style anytime soon since they're short and sweet clips that can be informative and entertaining for the user and viewer.
I'm not really one to follow online trends, even the ones that were listed in the readings for this module didn't really move me. I'd probably be more open to using reels if I was planning on promoting something or trying to inform someone (life hacks). I just personally feel like the trends are more geared to kids and or people that enjoy keeping up with all the new online trends. I've never got around to using the new AI chat bots like ChatGPT, it seems very interesting and groundbreaking but I'd be open to trying it as technology continues to advance and or if it benefitted me in the near future.
I suppose I'd be open to using the "video vitamin trend since it uses algorithms to push your content out to people who are actually interested in that given thing. I'd most likely post gaming, music, or sports content on there. I also feel like this trend will be very beneficial not only to the consumer but for content creators as well. This would benefit them in a great way by learning how the algorithms work and to figure out what content they need to put out on a consitent basis so their content can reach alot of people and potentially make them alot more money as their engagement grows over time.

Hey Khalil, I agree with your statement regarding Instagram and it's popularity. Instagram has stood the test of time so far as it remains relevant and popularly used among the younger generation more than a decade after it was created. Instagram proves to be a very flexible app as it continues to add more features and update it's look to remain current.
